Eddie Everett Scheldrup

Eddie Scheldrup, 76, of Blackduck, MN passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Blackduck Evangelical Free Church on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Military Honors. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Eddie was born on February 12, 1949 in Blackduck, MN, the son of Sigurd and Violet (Carrigan) Scheldrup. He attended school in Blackduck. Upon graduating he enlisted in the US Army and served in Vietnam. On May 6, 1978, Eddie married Mary Bjerkness. He worked as a logger for many years.
Eddie enjoyed tinkering on small engines, fixing bikes for kids, making wood lawn ornaments, and feeding chipmunks, often holding them in his hands. He also enjoyed deer hunting, and dearly loved his dog, Peanut.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Mary; 4 sons, Scott, Jeremy, and Chad, all of Blackduck, and Tony (Wendy) of Grand Rapids, MN; a daughter, Heather (Nick) Porath of Blackduck, MN; and a brother, Larry( Donna) Scheldrup of Blackduck.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joyce Scheldrup, and a grandson, Chase.
