Bonnie Lee Mickelson, 67, of Blackduck, Minnesota passed away on November 24, 2025 at the U of M Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Blackduck, MN with Ryan Wilkins officiating.
Bonnie was born on May 17, 1958 in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Glenn and Elsie (Miller) Grundmeier. She was raised on the farm in Kelliher, MN and attended school in Kelliher, graduating in 1976. She went on to attend Grand Rapids Community College, graduating in 1987. She married Craig Mickelson in Hibbing in December of 1988. She was baptized as one of the Jehovah Witnesses in Hibbing in 1987 and was currently attending the Blackduck congregation. She and Craig moved to Naples, Fl in 1991 and in 2005 they moved to Blackduck. She worked as a Medical Secretary in Naples, retiring in 2022.
Bonnie enjoyed speaking to others about her Bible based hope for the future, gardening, her cats, attending Christian meetings at the Kingdom Hall in Blackduck, and spending time with family and visits to her childhood farm.
Bonnie was loved by those who knew her. Family and friends were very important in her life. Everyone who knew her respected her and were encouraged by her endurance going through her 25 years of heart failure.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Craig Mickelson of Blackduck; her daughter, Nikki (Will) Roebuck of Greenville, NC; 2 grandchildren, William and Lydia; Sisters, Vicki (Rob) Brown of Ray, MN and Kaye (Bob) Oberstar of McGregor, MN; her brother, Glenn (Carey) Grundmeier, Jr. of Kelliher, MN; 5 nephews, Mathew (Lindsey) Brown, Jeremiah Eben, Jimmy (Amy & family) Eben, Blake (Lindsey & family) Oberstar, and Tres (Emily) Grundmeier; 3 nieces, Tonya (Mike & family) Swanson, Christina (Garrett & family) Krabbenhoft, and Meleah Grundmeier; and her special buddies (her cats) Boyka & Sisu.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Elsie Grundmeier; her sister, Marilyn Eben; and her special buddy, (her cat) Button.
