Bobby, today and every day my eyes fill with tears as it is still unbelievable that you aren't with us. I want it to be your voice that answers when I call. I want to make you your tuna and cucumber chip sandwich and the ocassional egg salad or even the cheese burger and fries! I want you to be sitting their (I know, same place, same chair) when I come over. I want you to be there for holidays and for the monthly family dinners Michele always has. To see your big smile when Michele puts a baby on your lap! To hear you yell at Bandit to shush up! I want to laugh with you. I know it's even harder for Michele, Brianna, and RJ. I know these are selfish tears for myself. You no longer have to sit in the same chair, same place and endure the constant pain and doctor/hospital visits, medications and constant worry about fevers and infections. For that I am happy you are with mom and dad now. It's hard to loose your rock, your only brother, the best brother anyone could have. I'm so glad I was able to thank you for being there for all of us and tell you how much you meant to me and how much I loved you. Don't you know the oldest sibling should be the first to go? Well, as usual you had the last say and I am here to love and comfort and support Michele, Brianna, and RJ - the loves of your life! I will miss you and love you forever and always! Con

I'm Dale Hoggins, former principal at Mountlake Terrace Elementary School. My wife, Donna, and I were high school classmates (Edmonds High School 1950) with Bob's mother Betty "Anne" Altman. In our day "swell" meant the next level. I remember Bob as a swell guy, with a big smile and a sparkle in his eye. The gals would have called him tall, dark, and handsome. While Bob was at MTE a short time, my memories of that time are pleasant.
We also miss Bette. She was a "swell" dancer. She was Donna's Dad's student office assistant at EHS. Bette and Donna were once part of a dance committee that stayed up all night making dance decorations and programs.
We have swell memories.

Bob's "Boeing" family will always treasure the integrity and strength Bob brought to work every day. No one has forgotten him these last years since his accident, if anything his memory has been an inspiration to us. When word of his passing hit the Boeing "mill" we all had conflicting emotions but everyone was glad to know Bob was HOME... and extremely proud of his family who cared so well for him. Rest in peace Bob until we rise in God's glory forever.

What great times we had in high school! Bob was always so full of life and always off his next adventure. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up any room. Heaven is a much better place with Bob in it. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Bob.

Like Barbara, I believe Bob's smile lasted a lifetime. It is that same smile he had through Jr High and Highschool. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Bob was my oldest sons' basketball coach in 2nd grade. Brett had not made a basket all season long and it was the last game of the season. Bob put plays in to make sure Brett scored and with 4 seconds left on the clock the pass came to Brett in the free throw lane and he tossed the ball up two handed into the basket. We've got it all on video and is one of our favorite memories. Brett is now 17. Thanks Bob and RIP.

Bob you will truly be missed. You always had a great outlook on life and I enjoyed being able to be part of your life and welcomed into your home and your family. I am truly honored to have been able to be part of your life for so many years. You taught me so much and have made a difference in my life as well as many others. Your smile brightened my day each and every day. Thank you for sharing your little favorite recipes such as Bob's juice, tuna sandwiches layered with cucumber chips, your love for NASCAR racing and so much more. You have an everlasting love for your wife Michele, daugther Brianna and son R.J. May God bless you and your family. May God's love shine upon you and your family and may God embrace your spirit and console your family with his strength. I will miss you dearly.
Blessings,

I have so many fun memories of Bob when we were young men without responsibilities. Bob had a great sense of humor and so many abilities he was great to call a friend.
Bob was a fortunate man to have such a wonderful family beside him after his accident. My heart aches for all of you and my family will will pray for you.
God bless you!
RIP Bobby.

Bob was a very good man. I remember so well his energy and enthusiasm and pride at being an Electrician at Boeing. I could always depend on Bob to be doing his job and taking care of his areas of responsibility. As a Union Steward Bob was always there to help a fellow employee in need. Bob was never afraid to tell management if they were in the wrong no matter the subject. Usually he was right! I will miss him very much. He was a very good person. The world is minus a shining light. My heart goes out to the family. God Bless you all. Mike Hanley (Friend and former supervisor).
