Sean Noland Obituary

Sean Noland was born in July of 1970 in Everett, WA to Gail and Donald Noland. He graduated from Sultan High School, Class of 1988. Sean met his soul mate, Lisa, through a mutual friend in 1990. It was a definite match made in heaven and they married five years later. Sean and Lisa welcomed their son, Asher in June of 2000 followed by their daughter Olivia in December of 2002. Sean loved going to Asher and Olivia's band and choir concerts, plays, and sporting events. He was a loving and supportive dad.
In his professional life, Sean will be remembered as a dedicated worker who was well-respected in the aerospace community for over 20 years. He was a true team-player, and always employed a can-do attitude. He was helpful, cheerful, kind and brought out the best in his coworkers.
Sean was an avid rock climber in his younger years and still enjoyed hiking and camping with his family. He was a self-described audiophile and he lived for live music and concerts. Sean and Lisa often took their kids with them to see live shows. Their motto: The family that rocks together, stays together!
Most recently, Sean had become the family historian. He became interested in his genealogy while sick at home from work a few years ago. A combination of boredom and nagging curiosity pulled him into the fascinating work of finding out what made Sean, Sean. We will miss the stories he would share with us of what he discovered in his research.
Sean passed away unexpectedly January 18th, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Van Noland. Sean is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa (Wassermann) Noland of Arlington, WA and two children, Asher and Olivia Noland; his mother Gail Oldow (Art) of Blaine, WA and father Don Noland (Mary) of Arlington, WA; his sister Jessica Vong (Wa, Evelyn & Julian) of Longmont, CO; his brother Ross Oldow of Bellingham, WA; his brother Tom Jacobs (Jodi) of Marysville, WA; sister Heidi (Chris & Liam) of Stanwood, WA; his grandmother, Doris "GG" Noland of Stanwood, WA and many other family members, including those he had recently connected with in North Carolina as well as lifelong friends who were considered family.
A celebration of Sean's life will be held at Bertelsen Winery, 20598 Starbird Rd., Mount Vernon, WA 98274 on Sun. July 25th 12:30 - 2:30 pm.

My dearest Brother, I shall miss your humor, smile and vest for life. We had a great run as friends (1988 and onward) and you created a stellar life for yourself. This picture was from a time Sean stopped in Dallas after a business trip, man we had fun and that pizza!!. I Love Ya Brother.

Gail, my dear lovely friend, it is so hard to find any words of consolation. Really, there are none. Just believe in God, pray, continue sending your loving thoughts to Sean as you always have. He hears you. I am sending my prayers and love to you...you are a wonderful Mom and Grandma, wife to Art and blessed friend to me. You will always live in my heart. Blessings, Love and Kindness to you, your family and everyone touched by Sean's life, which were many. I wish I had known him. Such a loss to you all. Loveth, Sandy
