Steve was born in Seattle, WA on November 13, 1954 to his parents Jack E. Allen and Vera Hamby Allen and passed away after bravely enduring a long series of medical issues on February 7, 2023.
He grew up in Ballard, Washington. During his youth he and his buddies came together and found their love of music. They started a band in elementary school and carried it through their junior high school years. Those of you that knew Steve had no doubt that he was the drummer. Steve's passion for drumming took a hiatus while he raised his kids and provided for them while working for the airlines in his early years, and as a mortgage loan officer and title sales manager for the remainder of his career. Though he put his passion on the back burner for a while, it came back with a vengeance in his later years, and a day did not go by that he did not play. He shared his love for music with all of his children. The Rolling Stones, the Beatles and Bob Marley were always a part of his infamous camping trips.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Margie Allen; sons: Jason E. Allen, Jack R. Allen and Joseph S. Allen; daughters: Chelsee A. Olsen and Francesca L. Audrey; grandchildren: Jason E. Allen Jr, Dominic, Allen and Hayden A. Hahn; brother James Maher; loving sister Shirley Martins; numerous nephews and nieces; and last, but not least, his Canadian clan.
He is preceded in death by his parents and dear brother Murray Allen.
Steve was a beautiful soul and he will be greatly missed by so many. There will be no "Knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door; for Steven Allen because Charlie is waiting there for him with it wide open.
