Teresa Ann Cady

August 15, 1954 – April 5, 2014 Terry Cady (maiden name Morgan), 59, of Everett, WA passed away on April 5, 2014. Born August 15, 1954 in Hayti, Missouri. Terry grew up in the St. Louis metro area and graduated from Xavier High School where she earned the nickname "Morgan on the Organ" for her musical talents, especially on the piano and organ. She was a member of Job's Daughters. Later, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music from Southern Illinois University. In 1979, Terry moved to Washington State, fell in love with the lush landscape, and lived in Everett until her death. She married the love of her life, Michael Cady, in 1992. She worked as an office manager in the automotive industry for 25 years. An active member of Soka Gakkai International and practicing Buddhist, Terry received the honor of becoming the Vice District Leader for her local area and mentored others in promoting peace and respect for the dignity of life through Buddhism. An excellent listener, she was considered by many to be a compassionate and wise confidante. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt, Terry was an adventurous spirit, climbing Mt. Rainier, skydiving, and riding her motorcycle daily for many years. She loved to attend the ballet, dance, write music, play the flute, and continued to play the piano until shortly before her death. Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Morgan and Ann (Templeton) Morgan; as well as her sister, Marsha. Terry is survived by her husband, Michael Cady; daughters, Kate Moore-Kyriakides and Angela Moore; son, Daniel Moore; brothers, Robert and Dan Morgan; and niece, Camille Carnahan. A service in her memory is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Lion Hall Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett, WA 98203 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
