What an honor it was for Karl Frederick Bratland and for me to be ushers at our older cousin Tom and Shirley's wedding and to travel all the way to Idaho for the weekend ceremony. I remember my mom and Nettie scrambled getting dress pants and a suit coat for us to wear.
