Willis Fowkes Obituary

Willis H. Fowkes

Willis H. Fowkes, the youngest son of Raymond and Maime Fowkes was born in Pitcairn Pennsylvania on July 18, 1931.
He married his first wife, Patricia, in 1952, as well as joining the Navy that year. He served twice on the USS Kittyhawk, in Vietnam. He retired from the Navy in 1972 and moved to Washington, where he worked as a carpenter for 20 years before retiring. He died after a short illness in Yuma, Arizona, on March 19, 2008.
He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC. There will be a private family service.
He is survived by his second wife of 15 years, Josephine; five children, Diana Lindberry, Patrice Romero, Willis Fowkes II, Roberta Dunn-Spradlin, and John Fowkes; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
