Armarinda Soares

Armarinda (Almeida) Soares, 92, of Fall River, died Thursday, December 28 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Soares. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Augustine and Maria (Machado) Almeida; she was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Mrs. Soares was employed for many years as a presser at the former Pen Jay Mfg. She later worked part-time as a cafeteria worker for the Fall River School Department. She is survived by two sons, Richard J. Soares of Fall River and John J. Soares and his wife Sherri of Fall River; three sisters, Lorraine Barboza of Swansea, Debra "Debbie" Dubois of Somerset and Lydia Gaspar of Fall River; a granddaughter, Amanda Soares; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Soares and grandmother of the late Richard Soares.
