Rosemary and Bob: I just found out the other day (August 10, 2018) that Mike passed away in 2015. I am so very sorry for the loss of your older brother. To refresh your memory, I dated Mike during our Junior and Senior years of high school. We first met at the Friday night dance at Avon High School where Mike was the DJ. We attended both the Junior and Senior Prom at Avon High school. Mike was always an ambitious person. I knew he would achieve great things in life some day. He was always doing something electrical and was probably the first person our age to have a ham radio. I still remember his "handle" which was WA1GDQ. I was very impressed to see the advanced education and degrees he earned. It's evident he achieved his goals. I remember the night of Mike's 17th birthday, we celebrated at your parents' house in Avon in the "shack" in the back yard where everyone hung out. Not long after Mike dropped me off at home that night, my mother passed away. I called Mike and he came back over to console my father and I. The day of my mother's funeral in February was a big blizzard. Mike picked my father and I up in his station wagon and drove us to the funeral. After we both graduated from high school the following June, we went our separate ways, as do a lot of young people. I wished him the best. Mike soon met the love of his life, married. had a family and started his own business. I will always have fond memories of the time I spent with him. His memory will always live on in his family members and in those who knew him. May he rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to the Pillarella family. I first met Mike through the late Tom Souza several years ago and always enjoyed his classes and the IAEI meetings. Mike was so knowledgeable about so many things and was always smiling and jovial. His cheeriness was contagious. He will be missed.May God bless you and give you peace.

I've known Mike for only a few years, but I've come to realize that he was a very unique man. He was always smiling and was in a happy mood. He enjoyed being helpful and had a kind heart. He was a giver and he enjoyed being kind. I've known many people in my lifetime and I can say that he's one of the finest men I've ever met. I was amazed at his multitude of accomplishments, which I think was amazing, and he never mentioned any of them. He was like the Einstein of electricity. I liked him very much as a person and the world was better because of him. Rich Dumas

Val and family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. One of the sweetest memories was when he hand delivered flowers to your classroom at Beckwith M.S. "just because." You're all in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate your way through the upcoming days and months ahead.

Never have I met such a generous, helpful and sincere person. He would always go out of his way to help no matter what kind of help was needed. If you asked him for one of something he would give you two. If you didn't ask for any he would still give you two (or more). Everyone, who had the honor of knowing him, will surely miss him. Fair winds and following seas to you Mike!

I worked with Mike on several educational DVDs. He was a great teacher, and an even better friend. He touched a lot of people's lives. My favorite memory of Mike is with he and our friend Eric having a drink in Florida. Mike wasn't a beer drinker, but he decided to be sociable and have a Guineas Stout with Eric and I. It was too bitter for his taste , so as Eric and I watched with our jaws dropped, Mike decided to pour a bunch of sugar into his beer. Needless to say, that didn't make it taste any better! Thanks for touching so many lives, and thanks for you did for the electrical industry.Ryan Jackson
