Clara Regets Obituary
February 14, 1928 - August 16, 2022
York, South Carolina - Clara Ruth Regets, 94 of York, SC died Tuesday at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. She was born in East Freedom, Pa, daughter of Clarence and Alice Pearl (Walter) Claar. She was first married to Harold Max Steward, and later to Paul Peter Regets on August 1, 1958 who passed on August 24, 2003.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty Jane (Jon) Neely of Altoona; her sons: John (Cathy) Steward of Rock Hill, SC; Emmert (Joani) Steward of Edgemoor, SC; Fred (Gail) Regets of York, SC; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She attended Hollidaysburg High School; graduated with GED later. She was a deaconess in her church and loved Bible Study, choir, and all church events. She had a gift of hospitality. She loved gospel music, playing Yahtzee, "Hand and Foot" and yard sales.
She worked at Puritan, Loungeray, and Butterick all in Altoona, Pa. area.
Most important to her was her family: Children, grandkids, nieces, nephews. She now joins her 4 beloved siblings (Margaret, Helen, Evelyn) and brother (Fredrick) in the Lord's care.
All are welcome to visit Saturday, August 20 from 10:00-11:00a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, Pa. Service at 11:00a.m., Pastor Sean McGill officiating. Interment at Leamersville Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Church of the Brethren, 3651 71st St, North, St Petersburg, FL 33709 or Vicksburg Grace Bible Church, 335 Reservoir Rd, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.

That beautiful smile that she had said to me that she was filled with love. I only knew her for a short time but I have love in my heart for her. To me she is family. She will be truly missed but joy will take up the space of sadness knowing that she will not be suffering and is in the hands of God our Father in heaven.
