David Lynch Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David Bruce Lynch, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, on March 11, 2026. David departed from this world due to natural causes at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.

Born on October 6, 1950, in Cortland, NY, David was the cherished son of Anita and James Bates. From an early age, he exhibited a passion for understanding how things work, a curiosity that would later define his professional journey. He was predeceased by his stepbrother, James Bates Jr., whose memory he always held dear.

He is survived by his two sons, Jamey Lynch and his wife Christine, and Jon Lynch, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and integrity. David's memory will also be cherished by his two grandchildren and three grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

In this time of reflection and remembrance, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Justin, the neighbor, whose unwavering support and efforts over the past few years brought much comfort to David and his family.

David Bruce Lynch will be profoundly missed, but his memory will forever be a guiding light in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved.
