We just now heard of Carrolls' passing....so sorry for the family. A Great Man. He was always the go/to 'GUY' when a great sea story needed to be shared with our reunion group...The USS ShangriLa which Carroll was a very faithful attendee. He will be sorely missed and thankfully we all have many wonderful memories of his exploits and wisdom and nobody was prouder than his Military Service and his time on ShangriLa and the English. Sail on Carroll!! We will sing for you at this years reunion...Find our Way Home.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Many of us veterans will remember him best for the bus trip he organized for WW2 veterans to the National WW2 Memorial in Washington, DC and the commemorative dinners we had at the York ARP Church with that wonderful group.
