Joyce Anne Wallace

Smyrna - Joyce Anne Martin Wallace, 84, of Smyrna passed away peacefully at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

She was the widow of Donald Paul Wallace and the daughter of the late Willard and Modena Hull Martin. Joyce received her Master's Degree from Winthrop University and she retired from York School District #1 after teaching for 30 years. She was a member of Broad River Baptist Church of Smyrna where she served as Music Director for over 50 years and was a member of Broad River Trio.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Woody Wallace (Jane) and John Wallace, both of Smyrna.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Broad River Baptist Church of Smyrna, 2315 Legion Road, Smyrna, SC. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm at the church with Rev. Billy Elder and Rev Roger Ham officiating. Members of CKC Volunteer Fire Department will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be William Carroll, Ken Hull, Steve Hardin, Doug Martin, Johnny Doan, and Leonard Gamble. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
