Jodie Maser Hicks, 61, of Smyrna, SC, passed away peacefully, with her husband by her side, on March 07, 2026 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born December 19, 1964 in Summit County, OH, daughter of the late William Edward and Carolyn Burdette Maser and was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Maser. Jodie worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. She enjoyed needle working, painting and making beautiful hand made crafts. Jodie was an accomplished cook. She loved making meals for those she cared for. She enjoyed taking care of others. She and her husband, Steve were caregivers for her mother for many years, showing the compassion and love she had for others. She never met a stranger and could make a friend of anyone. Jodie was a loyal and attentive wife and friend and always there for the needs of others. She was generous with her time and always made sure she placed others needs above her own. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and always made you laugh, no matter your mood at the time. Jodie loved animals, especially her dogs. She fed and tended to many strays over the years. Most of all, Jodie was a wonderful and faithful wife and friend. The joy she brought to so many, will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
