I light this candle in memory of a precious dear friend Jack Winchester. My family fell in love with Jack and Penny from New Faith Baptist Church in North Belmont. He told us he was a junk dealer and invited us to his place on Hickory Grove Road.Man the stuff or junk he had.I told him I was looking for a slop jar.I said for real.He just laughed it off.Several weeks passed and we stopped by his place. He always had a smile. He said come here I got you something.I said oh Lord what has Jack found. He handed me of course my slop jar.In excellent condition. We tried to pay him but he wouldn't let us.Today July 22,2017 I still have it in my bathroom with hand soap in it.I will cherish this during my lifetime and keep his memory alive as I see it sitting in my bathroom.Penny and family I love you and Brother Jack is with Preacher James and Carolyn and Ernest and all those gone on before that went to New Faith. He will live in the hearts of so many that knew him.Our thoughts and prayers to you Penny and all your sweet family.Bro.Jack maybe gone in the flesh but his love for stuff (junk) will never be forgotten.Jack Winchester you was a very special friend and will always cherish our friendship.THANK YOU for all the services we were with you in at New Faith.Enjoy Heaven

The passing of Jack Winchester marks the end of an era. The era of horse trading. I so fondly remember the stories my late husband brought home from Jack's, along with much junque : ). They shared breakfast and many tall tales. Dewey loved to sit in the barber chair.
Springwood will never be the same. RIP my dear friend.

Penny and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I would always try to catch him at his store when I was in town visiting. Even if it was just for 5 minutes as I was on my way to the airport. He was such a great man and will dearly be missed.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. Jack most certainly did that with everyone he met. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
