Justin Penland Obituary

Mr. Justin Kale Penland, 26, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd with Dr. Mickey Bolus officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born in Greenwood, Justin was a son of Jamie Penland (Beth) of McConnells and Cynthia Penland Hollingsworth (Brian) of Los Angeles, CA. He was employed with Lexington Medical. Justin was a loving son, brother and father and was a big-hearted family man.

In addition to his parents and step-parents, Justin is survived by his fiance, Stacie Woge; his daughters, Gracie and Leanna Penland, both of the home; his brother, Tyler Penland (Elizabeth) of Rock Hill; and his paternal grandfather, B.J. Penland of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Jones and his grandmothers, Sandra Lyons Wyatt and Diane Jones.

In lieu of flowers, there is a fund being set-up with South State Bank for Justin's girls, Gracie and Leanna.

As I learn of your death today almost a month later my heart is truly broken I can't wrap my head around it all it just seems so unreal.... Man do we have some countless fulfilled shared memories of our child hood.. We laughed endlessly fought some but forever I called u a true friend.... You, Tyler. Chaz, Felicia and lil Trey and me were inseparable for a length of time... Until y'all moved to the beach....as we got older our journeys took us all seperate ways...having kids building our own little families and discovering adult life wasn't as great as we thought it'd be...lol your girls are gorgeous they were proud of u and loved u unconditionally I'm certain...you will live thru them the rest of their days... I love u JP rest easy my dear friend until we meet again watch over us all and keep ur love surrounding us.... You'll never be forgotten!

To the Penland Family, I pray for peace and comfort in your time of grievance! Stacie, Gracie, and Leanna take care of each other! I am so sorry you all are having to go through such a hard time. JP, our time at Qure(Lexington Medical) was memories made that will last a lifetime! Over those 6 years we became family! All the stories shared, the laughs, the craziness, will forever stick! I gained a really great friend. 2nd shift metrology will never be the same. Dream Team!!!! This isn't a Goodbye but a See you later. You will truly be missed JP!!!! My love my life .. Bubba from the first flutter to the last conversation I was so thankful every moment that God gave me you / in life and in death you referred to me as your constant , you were my always and I love you forever , your memory is with me everyday in all the laughter and tears we have had through good and bad your momma will forever remember every detail of you and pass it on as best I can. Thank you for loving me , and giving me the best 26 years with you possible without the sad days we couldn't have had the happiest of days. God speed my baby boy , I can't wait to be with you again.
