To Mr. Blanton's family,

When I worked the early morning shift at the YMCA, Mr. Blanton would normally stop to chat with me. I enjoyed him very much with all his stories about many things.

I was amazed at watching him workout so hard for a man of his age, how well he took care of himself and how social he was.

I think he was one of the first at the Complex to walk and definitely one of the first at the Y.

As I said before, I thoroughly enjoyed knowing him. It was good to talk with you briefly the other day and I will be praying for you and yours during this very difficult time.

Sincerely,

Lynette Townsend

I came to know Leonard at the York YMCA over the last year. He always had a smile and loved telling me stories about WWII and talking sports. He was such an inspiring and friendly man. I will truly miss him.
