Randy, Angie & Paul,
I know that your hearts must be overwhelmed with the outpouring of thoughtfulness and love that everyone has for Luke. It is amazing to see, hear, and read the many ways that Luke has touched so many lives. You should be proud!! I can not begin to imagine what you are going through, but I would like to imagine that Luke is running his best cross country ever in his really cool socks while the angels tell him he's already won!!

Although I didn't know Luke he was a young boy who lost his life too soon. I want to let the parents know that I have been through this type of loss of my son and know that my prayers are with every one of you. Just keep your memories close to your heart and never lose the faith that you will be with him again one day.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Richard, Joyce, Randy, Angie & Paul, It is impossible to find words to let you know how sad we were to learn of Luke's homegoing. At the same time we rejoice to know our hope of eternity with our Lord and those who get there before we do. Richard & Joyce, we were remembering standing with y'all this past June on the bridge at the campgrounds, talking about our families while we fished. Our prayer is that God will wrap His arms around the entire family during this time of tragic loss. Just remember, the darkest night is just before the dawn & joy comes in the morning! In His Love, Doc & Gloria Ward.

Randy, Angie and Paul, Hoover/Walker families. Please know you are all in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. There are no words I can offer to bring you comfort or ease we so wish we could. And I know the days ahead will be full of so many, tears, memories and smiles, warm thoughts and gray days. What you can take away from all this is how BIG the range Luke's life has on so many, how he touched, effected and taught so many. What a testiment to you as his parents for allowing him wings to fly. Now with God but always in our hearts. Love to all.

Dear Randy, Angela, Paul and Geraldine ... we're so sorry to learn of the accident which took Luke home to be with the Lord. Geralding...I lost my 17-year-old nephew in 1987 due to an accident in his Dad's truck. My brother, less than 63 years old, died a little over a year sgo. Our family has known that tragedy of losing those precious sons!! Ansel and I send our comfort and sympathy to your family.
Randy ... Ansel sang with your Dad many years ago and your Mom & Dad were at our wedding over 41 years ago now. I cherish a snapshot that your Dad sent to me after the wedding in my wedding album! Ansel loved your Dad and was at his funeral service. You may remember him ... I know Geraldine and all of you are totally devastated.
Only the Lord can comfort you in the way you need.
Love, Brenda & Ansel Watts
