ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mattie L. Archie Thompson, of 4071 York Highway, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. George H. Lowry Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery. A native of York County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Augusta Chisholm Archie. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and a member of Catawba Chapter 291 Order of Eastern Stars and AP&B Society 23.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Thompson and one daughter, Dorothy T. Crawford. Survivors include one daughter, Sylvada T. Marshall (Robert); and two grandchildren, Rickey D. Crawford and Dar'vette L. Crawford, both of Rock Hill.
Mrs. Thompson may be viewed from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until time of the service Friday at the church. The family will receive friends at the home.
