GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Mildred Kilgo Morgan, 88, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Greenlawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Greg Batchelor officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Avenue, Great Falls, S.C.
Mrs. Morgan was born Jan. 9, 1924, in Great Falls. She was a daughter of the late Thomas P. Kilgo and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Kilgo and the widow of Chester C. Morgan. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Morgan was retired from J. P. Stevens Co. as a head grader and also worked with Duke Power.
She is survived by three sons, Harry "Hoot" Morgan of Chester, Ronald Morgan and Donald Morgan and friend, Jewel Jessee, both of Great Falls; three grandchildren, Rusty Morgan and wife, Danielle of Inman, Eric Morgan of Ridgeway and Hap Morgan and wife, Margaret of Chester; five great-grandchildren, Hannah Morgan of Great Falls, Blythe Morgan and Bryson Morgan of Inman, S.C., Layla Morgan of Chester and Laken Morgan of Great Falls. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Noland and Annie Mae Gwin.
