Fort Mill, South Carolina - Ms. Ollie Thorn Hicklin, 73, formerly of 225 Avery St., passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Midlands Health & Rehabilitation in Columbia, SC.

The Homegoing Celebration will be 11 am, Wednesday at United AME Zion Church, 804 Steele St., Fort Mill, SC 29715. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The body may be viewed from 4-6 pm, Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home in Rock Hill and from 10-11 am, Wednesday at the church.

Ms. Hicklin, I am deeply saddened to hear of ur passing. I was just talking about u a few weeks ago and literally the next day I came across ur obituary. I know u had a string faith of Jesus Christ, so I know I will see u again!!! Go rest on high on that mountain with Maddie Lane and all ur other families and friends!! I know yall are shouting praises and songs with the other angels in Heaven right now!! I will ALWAYS cherish my memories of uuu in my heart until it's my time to cross over too!! Thanks for ALWAYS keeping me in check my whole life and I am so grateful and honored to have known uuu!! U were a force to b reckoned with and u were NOT afraid to put ppl in their place when it neeeded to b done!! This World will b a Lil darker without ur infectious light!! Until we meeet again... From the day I met her at Fort Mill High School I liked
Ollie and we began a friendship. Later in life, we worked together at FM Middle. She was a wonderful influence on every student and always had their best interest in her job and in ways she helped them personally.
