Pete Payne Obituary

Rock Hill -Mr. Pete R. Payne, 61, gain his angel wings Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road.

Mr. Payne was born in Calhoun Falls, SC and the son of the late Ozro R. "Pete" Payne and the late Lucille Ayers Payne. He was a welder with Southeastern Industrial Inc. Being a welder, he enjoyed making things for others. He loved working on his motorcycle and riding it for hours at a time. He also loved the South Carolina Gamecocks and NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt In addition to his parents, Mr. Payne was preceded in death brother, Samuel Lewis Payne.

Mr. Payne is survived by his wife, Kimberly Pratt Payne; his sons, Christopher Payne of Rock Hill and Jason Payne of Abbeville, SC; his daughter, Elizabeth Payne of Phoenix, AZ; his brother, Fred Payne (Kathy) of Calhoun Falls, his sisters, Jo Patterson of Calhoun Falls, SC, Toni Ross (David) of Greenwood, SC and Rea Wiles of Elberton, GA; and his four grandchildren.
