Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mr. Roland E. "Pete" Howe, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road, with Rev. Ken Walters officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill.
Born in York County, Mr. Howe was the son of the late John Howe and the late Lucy Howell Howe. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Carol Howe; and his brothers, Michael Howe, Richard Howe, Ray Howe, and Wayne Howe. He was a US Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War and the Cold War. He loved his church and he was a great family man. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything and enjoyed wrestling. He cut the grass at his church, Southside Baptist Church and was always busy helping people.
Surviving are his son, Jeffrey E. Howe; his daughters, Debra Howe and Anne (Brandon) Thomas; his grandchildren, Meagan Howe, Taylor Evans and Thomas Evans; and two brothers, Johnny (Judy) Howe and Charles (Linda) Howe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Howe's name to Southside Baptist Church, 1229 S. Anderson Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
