Janice Dove Henderson, 81, of St. Joseph passed away on Oct. 2, 2025, at River Ridge Retirement Village in South Haven. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services. A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Central Cemetery in Beverly, Mass.

Janice was born on Feb. 5, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., to David and Jeanne (Pope) Dove. She attended Beverly High School graduating in 1962. Following high school, Janice continued her education at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., where she earned a bachelor's degree in math and physics in 1966.
Janice was an avid music lover who played the piano and flute throughout her life. After her retirement from Shell Oil Company, she became a master gardener and shared her knowledge with friends and family. She enjoyed not only horseback riding, but watching her horses show at the World's Championship Horse Show in Louisville.
Janice is survived by her children: Julie (Kevin) Block of St. Joseph and Christopher (Tammy Ellis) Henderson of Benton, La.; grandchildren: Jordan Block and Jenna Block of St. Joseph; and brothers, Gordon (Alison) Dove and Webster (Monica) Dove. She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Jeanne; brother, David Dove and sister, Barbara Slack.
