Kaye Frances Griffin, 62, of Benton Harbor departed this life Sept. 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. A service celebrating her life will be Saturday, Sept. 20, at the St. Matthew's MBC, Benton Harbor. The visitation begins at 11 a.m. followed by the service at noon. Kaye was born to the union of Holden Harris Sr., and Beatrice Harris on June 27, 1963. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1982, and shortly after relocated to Dallas where she met and married Lonnie Griffin.
Kaye worked for Viewpoint and Legacy Banks in Dallas until her health failed. She was loved by her co-workers.
Kaye was a Child of God. She was raised in the C.O.G.I.C. Church from early childhood.
Kaye loved shopping, Temu hated to see her coming. She loved being a dog mom to Noelle and Noah. Kaye was kind, generous and helpful. Those who knew her described her as sweet, smart, strong and understanding. Kaye was a fighter. She weathered every storm and there were many, until the Lord took her home. Her life was a success.
Kaye leaves behind her puppy daughter, Noelle Griffin; sisters: Brenda Davis and Thersa Bowden; brothers: Holden (Rose) Harris Sr., Terry Spencer and Jeffery Harris; special friend, Raymond Cole; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles that loved her dearly.
Kaye was preceded in death by her puppy son, Noah Griffin; parents: Holden and Beatrice Johnson-Harris Sr., and brother, Bobby "Bob" Spencer.
