Paul L. "Larry" Soderborg Jr.

Paul L. "Larry" Soderborg Jr., 71, of Coloma passed away on March 19, 2024, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 25, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with burial following in Lakeshore Cemetery in Riverside. Family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. before the start of the service.

Larry was born on Feb. 11, 1953, in Chicago to Paul Sr., and Noamia (Conners) Soderborg.

He graduated from Coloma in 1971 where he was a good pitcher for the Coloma baseball team and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in political science from Western Michigan University (WMU).

Larry worked for Modern Plastics as a supervisor and retired from Republic Services in 2017.

He was a great husband and father, and absolutely loved sports. Larry enjoyed watching and playing golf and watching the White Sox, the Bears, Michigan State University football and basketball, all of WMU sports, the Chicago Bulls and the Blackhawks. Larry also loved being on Lake Michigan and watching the beautiful sunsets.

Larry is survived by his wife, Beverly (Head), whom he married on April 19, 1980; his son, Joshua (Chelsey) Soderborg; two brothers: Dan (Lyn) Soderborg and Steve Soderborg; brother-in-law, David (Linda) Head and sisters-in-law: Debbie (Keith) Yeske, Sandy Phillips, Cheryl (Willy) Raucci and Nancy (Greg) Wells. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
