Richard A. Marks, 76, of Eau Claire, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with the Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Caldwell Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire, and also one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church (of which he was a member) or Michigan Lutheran High School. Messages and memories may be left online at www.bowermanfuneral.com.
Richard was born March 17, 1947, in St. Joseph, the son of Ferdinand and Alvina (Frank) Marks.
He was a veteran who served his country with the U.S. Air Force.
He earned an associate's degree and was employed as an electrician for Bosch Corp. He was a member of the Mid-Michiana Cruisers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; and his brother, Edward.
Survivors include his step-daughter, Kim Scott; two step-grandchildren: Becky and Bethany; his nephew, Jeffery Marks; and three nieces: Ellen Hasse, Diane Smith, and Kathy Decker.

I knew Richard from grade school, and he was always a friendly person. I met Richard at his home in Eau Claire, and he was always a gracious human being. We talked about our grade school years, and his late wife was very kind to me. May he rest in peace.
