Christopher Gentry Obituary
Timberlake
Christopher Leland Gentry, 45, of 113 Dick Holeman Rd., Timberlake, died Monday, July 17, 2017. Born in Person County on November 15, 1971, Mr. Gentry is the son of Leland G. and Brenda Ellis Gentry, who survives, of Timberlake. Mr. Gentry worked with his father in construction and later owned and operated Chris L. Gentry Builders. He also owned and operated Timberlake Shell and was formerly employed with Duke as a lab technician. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Frances Ellis.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gentry is survived by his son, Christopher Blake Gentry, of Timberlake; one brother, Greg Gentry, of Timberlake; his paternal grandparents, Bernard G. and Mary Gentry, of Timberlake; his former wife, Jackie Spence Gentry; and his special niece, Angelina Gentry and special nephew, Brendan Gentry.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, July 21, 2017, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Pastor Mike Whitt. A private burial will be held at the Gooch Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:30-8PM, Thursday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be D.J. Lawson, Tim Brown, Wayne Ellis, Corey Gooch, John Ellis III, and Brendan Gentry. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Hicks and Greg Gentry.
Memorials may be made to The National Pancreas Foundation, www.pancreasfounda tion.org or the Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 25, Timberlake, NC, 27583.
The family would like to express their gratitude to his doctor, Dr. Larry Greenblatt and staff for the exceptional care and compassion given to Mr. Gentry for many years.
