Raleigh, North Carolina - Nancy Joan Goodson, 74, of Raleigh, NC passed away on October 17, 2023 at The Cardinal of North Hills.
Born on April 22, 1949 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to John and Mary Jo Powell. Married to Bob Goodson on December 23, 1967 while at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.
She graduated from McClenaghan High School in Florence, SC. and lived many years in New Orleans, LA and Chattanooga, TN.
She worked as a realtor on Signal Mountain, TN with Mountain City Realtors but was proud of being a mom and a grandmom.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Ann Rhoads and her brother John David Powell.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Goodson, her 2 daughters Julie Murphy and Becky Getchel, her sisters, Judy Farr and Jane Mullins; her four grandchildren Hailey Dotson, Hannah Aron, Kelley and Jane Murphy.
Memorials may be given to Transitions Hospice Care of Raleigh, NC.
A private service will take place for family.
Arrangements by Brown-Wynne, 300 Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh.
