Brown, Dorothy M.
June 26, 1923 - May 28, 2011

Dorothy M. Brown, 87, of Venice, formerly of North Olmsted, Ohio, died May 28, 2011.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Venice Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her son, Randy L. Brown of Englewood; brother William E. Heller of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Donald, and by her daughter, Kathleen Westermann.
Dorothy was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church, past president of Presbyterian Women Venice, and a secretary of Church Women United. She was a volunteer at Venice Regional Medical Center and a volunteer for FISH. She was awarded the Elder Venice Presbyterian Church Valiant Woman Award and was an honorary life member of Venice Presbyterian Woman.
Memorial donations may be made to Venice Presbyterian Women's Scholarship Fund, 111 Firenze Ave. E., Venice, FL 34285.
