James ("Jim") H. Eiffe passed away unexpectedly in Venice, Florida on the evening of August 8, 2016. He was 76 years old.
Jim was born in Brooklyn, NY, the only son of Audrey and James Eiffe. Jim grew up in Camden, NY. On December 27, 1958 he married his high school sweetheart Doris "Dotty" Jane Murling. Jim served in the United States Army as an instructor on Nike Ajax Missiles, the word's first operational surface-to-air missile. Jim then started his 31-year career with IBM. He retired in 1991 and they moved to Florida. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, a daughter Karen Eiffe of Camden, NY; a daughter Alison Wolfe of Philadelphia, PA; a daughter Rhonda Eiffe (Susan) of Glendale, CA; and a son James Eiffe (Pam) of Portsmouth, NH; and a sister Vaughn Young of Scottsdale, AZ. He also leaves behind 7 granddaughters (Jessica, Markie, Shannon, Natalie, Liana, Julia and Natalia) as well as 2 great-grandsons (Dmitri and Jameson).
Jim will be buried at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida on Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 at 11am with full military honors.
A Celebration of His Life is tentatively planned in the Camden, NY area on October 9th, 2016. Details to follow.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in Jim Eiffe's name to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation for Spinal Cord Research at www.christopherreeve.org or call 800-539-7309.

I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with him in "Philadelphia. he was a very kind man who will be remembered by many.
