Jan. 5, 1930 - March 15, 2012

John Dezzi, 82, of Sarasota, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa. died March 15, 2012.
Services will be at a later date at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
Survivors include wife of over 50 years, Nancy, daughter Joanne (Paul) Randolph; and granddaughter Christina of Largo, son Paul (Deanna) along with grandsons Adam, Stephen, Nicholas, and Ryan of Sarasota, and son Mark (Laura) along with grandsons Zachary and Connor of Sarasota. John is also survived by his brother Casto (Rosemarie) of Drexel Hill, Pa.
John served in the US Army and played shortstop for the Army baseball team.
He retired as a Lieutenant with the Philadelphia Fire Department and the Loral Corporation of Sarasota.
His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren grow up and attending his grandsons' baseball games.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
