Lester Hubert Knepp

Lester Hubert Knepp, 78, Sarasota and New Paris, Ind., died June 17, 2002, after suffering a massive stroke. He was born July 22, 1923, in Goshen, Ind. He was owner and operator of Knepp Sand and Stone for 35 years. He was active in the New Paris Boy Scout Troop 12 for 23 years. He was past president of New Paris Chamber of Commerce and of New Paris Improvement Corps and a member of the New Paris Lions. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Susan "Suzy" (Bontrager); daughters Sandy Murdock of New Paris and Brenda LeCounty of Millersburg; a son, Ernie of Middlebury, Ind.; brothers Karol of Bristol, Ind., Lamar of Ocala, Wilbur of Goshen and Simon Jr. of Fort Wayne, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be in New Paris. The Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 400 E. Field Ave., Venice, FL 34285.
