Lucille C. McLaughlin, 85, Englewood, formerly of Rockport, Mass., died Aug. 7, 2007.
Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Boston. Mrs. McLaughlin attended Salem State College and for 25 years coordinated patient account services at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, West Roxbury. Mass. She was a former member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Hopkinton, Mass., and St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Rockport, Mass. In Hopkinton she was active in the Council on Aging, where she provided leadership to the public school Pen Pal program, the Senior Walking program and chaired the annual Senior Walkathon events.
As a St. Paul's Vestry member, she chaired the Outreach Committee and provided many hours of help and encouragement to residents of Serenity House. a halfway home for women. In Rockport, she was a member of the Altar Guild at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, and volunteered at the Addison Gilbert Hospital, Gloucester, Mass. Mrs. McLaughlin was a member of the Farragut Associates and the Castle Island Association, South Boston, Mass.
Wife of Neil F. McLaughlin (died Sept. 15, 1981), she is survived by her daughters, Lucille C. Fulrath of Englewood and Rockport, Mass., Carol A. Delaney of Rockport; and her sons, Neil of Medfield and East Dennis, Mass., Martin of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Patrick of Tyngsboro, Mass., and Robert of Bedford, N.H.; and nine grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in Boston at a later date.
