Michael DeRogatis, 79, of Lakewood Ranch, FL, died on Oct. 5, 2012. Funeral arrangements by: Toale Brothers Funeral Homes.
Michael moved to Florida from Absecon, NJ with his wife in 2000. He was born in Newark, NJ. He was pre-deceased in death by his beloved son Allen, his brothers Al, Pat Larry and his sister Rosie. He is survived by his beloved wife Linda, his sister-in-law Louise, Godson Alex Town, Godson Stephen Moran III, and many nieces and nephews. Michael proudly served in the US Army as an officer. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University; a past president of Atlantic City Rotary International and a past president of the greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce for fifteen years and owned DeRogatis' Restaurant in Neptune NJ. Michael was an avid Golfer, previously being a member of Spring Lake Country Club, Atlantic City Country Club and Lakewood Ranch Country Club. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or the American Heart Association.

Our heart felt condolences to Linda and the Derogatis family. Mike was a good friend and nieghbor. He always had a smile and a cheerful greeting for everyone. We will pray for Mike, Linda and the family.

Of all roles Mike played in his life, it seemed the most precious he held was that of father to his son, Allen and husband to his wife, Linda.

My sincere condolences to the Derogatis Family. Mike was a true gentleman and always so professional. I knew him from the AC Chamber. He was always so helpful...and worked so hard on the annual train trip to Washington DC. The thoughts and prayers of so many are with you at this time. Rest in Peace Mike.
