Michael A. Ruvolo, 83, of Venice, FL., passed away on May 18, 2013. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 26, 1929. He graduated from Marquette University and spent 34 years as a teacher in the Milwaukee Public Schools. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean conflict. He had many sports cars during his life and loved going to the car races at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. He also loved sailing on the inland lakes and on Lake Michigan. He was a life member of the South Shore Yacht Club. He and his wife, Marie, loved traveling around the world. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Vera (LaMalfa) Ruvolo and an older brother who died in childbirth and was also named Michael. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marie; sister Mary (John) Kurtz; niece, Kathryn Glembin; and nephew, David (Jill) Kurtz. Donations may be made to St. Francis Animal Rescue of Venice, P.O. Box 563, Nokomis, FL 34274. There will be no memorial service.
