David B. Wilmsmeyer, 59, of Manchester, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, in Manchester.
Dave was born in Topeka on Aug. 6, 1958, a son of Gottlieb J. and Shirley (Smith) Wilmsmeyer, who survive in Marthasville, Missouri.
He was the husband of Geralyn F. (Klos) Wilmsmeyer. They were united in marriage on June 30, 1984.
Dave is also survived by a daughter, Courtney Santeliz and husband Rafael; a son, Christopher Wilmsmeyer; a brother, Bruce Wilmsmeyer, three grandchildren, Emmett, Benjamin, and Eli; as well as countless in-laws, nephews and nieces.
Dave was graduated from Hermann High School in 1976. He later went on to DeVry University where he was graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Electronics.
He worked for Hewlett Packard as an escalation engineer, until his retirement.
Dave was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. Most people from Hermann knew Dave as "Willy." He had a larger-than-life personality and never knew a stranger.
Dave was an avid golfer and sports fan. He was learning Spanish and recently made it to 18 percent fluency.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We were at a get together with HP people and we were told about Dave's passing. Dave was quiet man but a friend to many. He didn't hesitate to step up and help anyone. I'm so sorry

I am very saddened to hear Dave is no more. I have worked with Dave in HP. He was a great teammate and it was a pleasure working with him. He had a very cool attitude and was very helpful when I joined the team back in 2013.

He will be remembered for ever in our hearts.

It is a very sad news. I was working with him for years at HP. This is the second sorrow for me. First one was his retirement and I was hoping he could come back to HP again as our team member. Rest In Peace, Dave.

I am very sad to hear about Dave's passing. I knew Dave for many years, working on the same team with him at HP. Dave was always great to work with, always had a positive outlook on things and had a way of making the people he worked with laugh and feel good about any situation they were working on.

He will be missed.

This is very sad news and I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Dave at HP where he was a great teammate and always had a great sense of humor.

I thought I would share a photo of Dave and several other HP folks taken in 2006 during a training trip to Singapore. This was taken after dinner in the Little India section.

He will be missed.

Although I knew Geralyn better, I got the distinct feeling Dave was put on this earth to share his amazing personality in being a great husband, father, friend and just good person by sharing his smiles, laughter, antics his heart and so much more. How lucky were we all. What a difference Dave made!Rest in Peace.
