Jack passed away at home of natural causes. Services will be held on May 21 at Joshua Mortuary in Palmdale at 10am, with interment to follow at Desert Lawn in Palmdale at 11am.

If this is the Jack Bones who was a Marine in WW II, then he is my second cousin. During WWII he often visited my Grandmother, his Aunt. Maggie Bones Nadeau when he was a Marine in WWII. He was my hero at 7 years old during the War.I wanted my name to be "Jack". So, one day he visited us and brought a box of cigars with a picture of King Edward on the cover. He said to me , Look! "you have the name of a King. I was then satisfied with my name. I have a picture of him with another marine manning a 50 Caliber Machine Gun in Bouganville. He is still my hero at 88 years old!

In 1969 i was 9 years old and Jack Bones had a Pow Wow at his place i remember meeting him and he was very kind . I was a city kid but was up at my aunts house in little rock . I will never forget climbing up onto the bales of hay and watching the Indians dance ! Such a happy memory ..thank you Mister Bones
