Israel Vega Bones

Israel Vega Bones, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, in Melbourne, Florida. He was born on January 15, 1944, in Coamo, Puerto Rico, to the late Epifanio Vega and Maria Bones.

Israel was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent many years employed as a machine operator at a meat packing plant. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he took pride in providing for his family.

He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan and found great joy in music and dancing, which brought smiles to those around him. Israel had a warm spirit, a love for life, and a deep appreciation for time spent with family and friends.

Israel is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his daughters, Sonya Jenkins and Lisa Vega; and his stepchildren, Rhonda Bentley-Brown (Curtis) and Anna Bentley. He was a proud grandfather to Kianga, Kenneth, Gabbryel, and Malonia, and a cherished great-grandfather to Shyanna, Vadrey, Kendall, and Lynx. He is also survived by his nephews, Eddie, Judy, and Al.

Israel will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, his love of music, and the joy he brought into the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family that will be treasured forever.
