Jake Maldonado Obituary

Ernesto Jacobo Maldonado (Jake) passed away on August 30th, 2010 in Hesperia California at the age of 51.
He was born on September 15, 1958 in Trinidad, Colorado. The first child of Joe and Charlotte (Olguin) Maldonado.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte, nephew Joshua Crist, his Paternal Grand Parents Nora Maldonado and Mike Maldonado and Maternal Grand Parents Alex and Annie Olguin. Aunts and Uncles: Bernice, Celia, Julian, Zeke, Ernest, Fred & Leo and several cousins.
He is survived by his father Joe I. Maldonado and wife of 14 years, Tina. They were united in marriage onJuly 20th, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his Children: Jennifer Segarra (Jeromy), Rhonda (Warren) Wilson, and Chuck (Lorilyn) Burt from Hesperia, California. Grandchildren: Vanessa, Gabriella, Matthew & Mariah, Christian, Nikolas & Sydney, Justus, Hope & Hannah. His Brothers: Ray Maldonado of Trinidad, Colorado, Alex (Tina) Maldonado of Longmont, Colorado, and his sisters: Jacqueline (Jaye) Crist of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, Jowanda (Ken) Campion of Aurora, Colorado. His Nephews: Daniel (Jessica) Maldonado, Laray, Angelo, Francisco, Daniel Jr., Joseph & Hope. His Nieces Jarhae Maldonado, Andrea (Garrett) Lyle, Kaiya, Noah, Malia Rose, Siena Crist, Remi Crist, and Jacy Maldonado.
Brother-in-laws and Sister-in-laws: Robert (Marlene) Jones, James (Odena) Jones, Carol (Mark) Snyder & John (Sandra) Jones. And all of the step nieces and nephews: Michael, Daniel & Gina, Ryea (Angela)& Brant (Jessica), Laurie & Christina and Kaylee.
Also survived by Numerous Uncles & Aunts, cousins and friends.
He attended school in Denver, Colorado later moving to Trinidad, Colorado and graduated from Trinidad High School where he was very active in ROTC. Upon graduation from high school he joined the United States Army. He then returned home and attended college. He was a graduate of Trinidad State Junior College with a degree in welding and again graduated with a degree in building trades. Upon his completion at TSJC he re-enrolled in the Army and later the National Guard, where he served until just recently. At the time of his passing he was employed at Ft. Irwin Army Base, California.
Active pallbearers: Ray Maldonado, Alex Maldonado, Darron Olguin, Alex Olguin, Christian Wilson and Nikolas Wilson.
Honorary casket escorts will be: Daniel Maldonado, David Olguin, and Eddie Olguin.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 12, 2010 at Desert View Memorial Park Victorville, California.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. at Desert View Memorial Park Victorville, California.
Burial will be in the Desert View Cemetery. Graveside services will be conducted by the United States Army and The National Guard Armed Services.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Wells Fargo Bank in Hesperia California account # 7346617850C/O Tina Maldonado.
