Travis Ornellas Obituary

TRAVIS WADE ORNELLAS 1/2/1983 - 4/19/2013 Travis lived his short life in a most courageous way. He was a heart transplant recipient at age 17. This giving him only 13 more years of life. Prior to the transplant he underwent many open heart surgeries before and after the transplant. He took all of this in stride and carried on. Not once did I ever hear him complaining. The one thing I do remember after the transplant was him looking into the mirror and seeing his lips were an normal color and tears swelled up in his eyes. He worked as a mechanic at Fort Irwin for several years. He enjoyed his toys, especially the Harley Davidson, dirt bikes and the 5th wheel etc. He was a father, an uncle, a brother, a grandson, a husband and my son. He was preceded in death by his mother Cherri Lee Ornellas, his paternal grandfather, Jim Ornellas. He is survived by his 3 year old son Owen Wade Ornellas, his 1 year old daughter Hailee Elaine Ornellas, his sister Shelby Lynn Stullenberger, his nephews Kamden and Kaiden, his maternal grandmother Beatrice Ornellas and his father Robert Donald Ornellas. Also, his best friends Justin and Tim. The world really is a worst place without you. Love, Dad

Travis was a good friend to my daughter Amy & my family. We had some great times with you during your high school years. I'm so sorry to hear you are not there to watch your children grow up & enjoy life with you.
