Betty Frei Obituary
February 15, 1934 - January 9, 2025
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our mom, Betty Dillard Frei, she passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Hock Family Pavilion. She was born in Jackson County to the late Avery Cleveland and Alice Bell Dillard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frei is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Jack Frei.
Mrs. Frei grew up in Sylva, NC. She attended Western Carolina University and later retired from Duke Regional Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, traveling, and going to Myrtle Beach.
Mrs. Frei is survived by her children, Jim, Liz, and Doug (Libby) Frei.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17th at Clements Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Duke Hock Family Pavilion: 4023 N. Roxboro St., Durham, NC 27704.
