Charlotte Zagaroli

Charlotte Zagaroli HICKORY Charlotte Esther Swanker Zagaroli, 91, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Jan. 7, 2012, at Sterling House, her home for the past two years. She was born March 22, 1920, in Muskegon, Mich., to Bert and Mabel Swanker. She married her high school sweetheart, Peter Anthony Zagaroli. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1986. She is survived by her son, David Peter Zag-aroli and his wife, Nancy, of Hickory; her daughter, Susan Mary Rosenblum and her husband, Arthur, of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Todd Zagaroli and his wife, Cecily, Peter Zagaroli, Ann Zag-aroli, Charlie Zagaroli and his wife, Tisha, and Kyle Smith and his wife, Katie; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held in the memorial garden at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Karla Woggon officiating. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sterling House for their compassion and loving care. Charlotte loved and appreciated all her caregivers.
