Clara O'Reilly Obituary
April 23, 1944 - December 20, 2024
Clara Blair Annas O'Reilly, age 80, of Hudson, NC passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness December 20, 2024 at her residence. She was born April 23, 1944 in Caldwell County to the Late Ivey R and Mae Elrod Annas.
Clara was a 1963 graduate of Bandys High School. Clara was of the Baptist faith and worked in the textile industry at Shuford Mills and Sims Barbecue until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, John O'Reilly; her two sons, Tony Ray Bowman and Timothy Allen Bowman; sisters, Doris Mae Annas Wright, Wanda Sue Annas Hefner and brother, Boyd William Annas.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Annas Setzer of Catawba; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Guy Bowman of Lenoir; brother-in -law, Dennis Clayton Wright of Granite Falls; Opal Dockery Annas of Newton; special friends, April and Brad Nelson of Hudson; plus numerous nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 1787 Cajah Mountain Road, Hudson, North Carolina, 28638, on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Calvin Hargett of Free Spirit Baptist Church officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers will be David Wright, Dalton Holder, Michael Setzer, Matthew Setzer, Ruben Travis and Brad Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street, NW Washington, DC 20006.
