Cynthia Sigmon Obituary

Cynthia Ann Moir Sigmon

Cynthia Ann Moir Sigmon, 84, of Hickory, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 at Trinity Ridge West in Hickory. Born July 12, 1941 in Sedgwick County, KS, she was a daughter of the late James "Jim" Moir and Rowena Ross Moir. She was the owner of Tic Tac Child Development Center and a retired employee of the Hickory City School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Sigmon; a son, Larry Wayne Sigmon Jr. and brother, Mike Moir.

She is survived by daughter, Stephanie Eggers and husband, Tab, of Morganton; brothers, Jim Moir of Newton, Mark Moir of Winston Salem, David Moir of Knoxville, TN and Greg Moir of Maryland; grandsons, Christian Eggers, Noah Eggers and Gabriel Eggers; granddaughters, Kandice Sigmon and Hannah Clark; great grandchildren, Brenton Frasure and Zachary Frasure; and niece, Natasha Nunez.

A Celebration of Cynthia's life will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton with Pastor Timothy Elliott officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Type 1, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116.
