Doris Pope Eckard, 76, of Granite Falls, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at Caldwell UNC Health.
Born March 31, 1945, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Roan Pope and Nora Jane Rowe Pope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Wayne Eckard; son, Matthew Wayne Eckard; and daughter, Phyllis Cash.
Survivors include her three granddaughters.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 30, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hudson. The family will visit with friends following the service.
