Dorothy Rose Rockett Hildebran, 95, of Hickory, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, after a period of declining health at Trinity Village in Hickory.
Born December 15, 1928, in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Winfred and Eula Hollar Rockett.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Enoch (Billy) Hollar; second husband of 61 years, Daniel Edward Hildebran; and three of her siblings: Pauline R. Chastain, Mary R. Spencer, and Clyde Rockett.
Dorothy was a member of West Hickory Baptist Church in Hickory and had retired from Neuville Textiles.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Scott E. Hildebran and wife Wendy of Lenoir, NC; daughter, Beth Hildebran Rogers and husband Jimmy of Hickory, NC; sister, Joyce Rockett Randall (Donald) of Hickory, NC; granddaughter, Megan Rose Murphree of Hickory, NC; and sisters-in-law: Doris Price, Margaret Lowman, Nancy Hildebran, Pamela Hildebran, Donna Hildebran, Janie Rockett; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory with the Rev. Scott Frady officiating. A private burial will follow the service.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Hickory Baptist Church, 40 12th Street NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
