February 12, 1935 - February 1, 2022
Jimmy Lincoln Kale, 86, of Catawba, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 12, 1935, in Catawba County, the son of the late Carroll Kale and Jessie Mae Ervin Kale. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and a winder for GE for 38 years prior to his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Johnsie Fulbright Kale in 2012; and sister, Josephine Burke.
He is survived by his sons, Stan Kale and wife, Pat, of Lenoir, and Jerry Kale and wife, Linda Crisp, of Catawba; daughter, Cheryl Kale Moss and husband, Steve, of Catawba; granddaughters, Jennifer Reep, Sandy Moss Dalton and husband, Aaron, Kelia Britt and husband, Jacob; grandsons, Scott Kale and Michael Moss; brothers, Steve Kale and Kermit Kale of Catawba; sisters, Janice Bumgarner of Catawba and Joyce Lee of Michigan; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, at Concord United Methodist Church, with Pastor Thom Deane officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10 to 10:45 a.m., in the sanctuary.
