John Dustin Obituary

NEWTON - John Wayne Dustin, 54, of Newton, died Friday, July 31, 2009, at his residence. Born Feb. 6, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of John Wendall Dustin and the late Margaret Irene Johnston Dustin. He was a graduate of Westerville High School in Westerville, Ohio, where he was a member of the golf team and was a lifelong avid golfer. Survivors include his father, John Wendall Dustin; daughters, Melissa Dustin of Newton and Jennifer Dustin of Bel Air, Md.; sisters, Sally Knoll and husband, Michael, of White Lake, Mich., and Jodi L. Brown and husband, Randal, of Asheville, Ohio; a grandson, Maleke Dustin; and his fiancee, Brenda Beaver of Hickory. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at Willis Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, with the Rev. Lloyd King officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, N.C. 28658. Condolences may be sent to the Dustin family at www.drumfuneralhome.com. The Dustin family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
